What Lingovea is
Lingovea is not a single app. Each product solves one speaking problem, and the products connect into one loop: practice, discover weaknesses, fix them, create better material, practice again. We think specialized tools beat one giant all-in-one app.
This site is Lingovea's home. It also hosts the Learning Center (guides on pronunciation, shadowing, interviews, and more) and the Word Library.
Products
Shadow Edge
Import real content (YouTube, TED Talks, podcasts, or your own recordings), repeat it sentence by sentence, and get phoneme-level pronunciation feedback: an overall score plus Accuracy, Fluency, Completeness, and Prosody. Shadow Edge is where most people start.
The name is written as two words: Shadow Edge. You may see "ShadowEdge" (as in the domain shadowedge.app); it means the same product. Shadow Edge has three sites: GoShadowing is its marketing site, shadowedge.app introduces the product and hosts help, and webapp.shadowedge.app is the app itself, where you sign in and practice.
Word Edge
Word Edge brings words back with spaced repetition, in decks you build from your Shadow Edge sessions, import from a word list, or start from a curated deck such as IELTS or TOEFL. A word only counts as learned once you know what it means, can say it (scored phoneme by phoneme), and can spell it.
Speech Edge (coming soon)
Speech Edge will help you write the material you need to say, such as presentations and interview answers, turn it into natural audio, and send it to Shadow Edge to rehearse.
